I may not have the horse of your dreams, your 'unicorn', in my barn at any given time but I should be able to find him for you. Or you may be wanting to maximize a tight horse shopping budget and are able to do some of the work yourself as long as you're starting with the right horse..
This is a fun option that lets you view qualified contenders without having to travel to Ireland to do so.
The type of horse that I am typically asked for is an 'Allrounder'. After an adjustment period of a few days to a few weeks at his destination in America, this horse should be expected to ride agreeably in the arena and out on the trail. He should adapt quickly to a hunter pace, depending on his prior level of education and experience, and may even be competitive at a local level event or horseshow. Foxhunting may also be in the skillset. Each particular customer's needs and goals can be addressed in order to make the best possible match.
Expenses
There is no cost to view contenders and no obligation to remain with this service through the entire process. Along the way, expenses are limited to:
1. Independent trial ride - 250$ if you want the horse tried by one of my contacts in Ireland, showing something in particular, before you confirm the purchase decision.
2. PPE - nonrefundable 1,000$, to be paid at the time you decide to have a horse vetted. After reviewing results of the clinical exam and 42 x-rays, the material is forwarded to you and to your veterinarian.
3. Purchase - a price has already been given by me that's within your budget and that you find acceptable. When the vetting is approved of at your end, payment is made to me, as Seller. The price includes the purchase and all associated expenses, including air travel and quarantine at JFK.
4. Transport from JFK to Buyer's farm.
There are no additional fees from the Seller to the Buyer.
THE PROCESS
1. Conversation regarding the horse you desire and your budget.
2. If requirements and expectations sound realistic to me, I work to locate you candidates to consider.
3. If you want to see something particular on video, I request that from the owner.
4. If you want the horse tried by one of my people in Ireland, I can arrange that. There will be feedback provided afterwards directly from that person. Additionally, their test ride will be provided on video for you and your trainer to assess.

6. Purchase Agreement Contract - to be signed by the Buyer and the Seller.
7. Purchase
8. Importation. I handle all arrangements.
9. Transport from quarantine at JFK to your home farm.

OUR TRAINER HAD PURCHASED HER PERSONAL HORSE FROM IAN SO WE FELT WE COULD TAKE THE LEAP AND ASK HIM TO Broker A 1ST PONY FOR OUR SMALLEST CHILD. AND THAT PONY IS A SAINT.
